I only spoke to Bill briefly while he was in the hospital at the same time my brother Lyle was receiving a Liver transplant. Bill was a nice man, very intelligent— and I would have loved to talk with him again. It was at that time that our family felt we were blessed.by a dear Angel…Dawn. A total stranger who saw that I was in need of support as a friend, lost in the midst of Northwestern Hospital. She not only offered to help me get my brother where he needed to be as a transplant patient but paid the expenses of a 2 night hospital stay and gift cards to take some of the financial burden off of me. She invited me to meet Bill the next day and then took time from her busy schedule to help me get my grounding in unfamiliar territory. She really was a God’s send and I am forever blessed. Thanks Dawn. May the Lord watch over you and Erin during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Bill was an incredible man with an astonishing sense of humor. I had the pleasure of sitting right next to the Bill the last couple of outages I worked at Braidwood/Byron. He and I would constantly laugh and joke about one thing or another. Which really helped those long days go by. The world is really going to miss you Bill. May you rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Bill's family and friends. I have had the pleasure of working with Bill at Braidwood Station over the years. He was a man of great upstanding character, always watching to make sure things went right and met your expectations. I am saddened by hearing of his passing. He will be missed greatly.

Although I worked with Bill for over 30 years, I considered him a good friend. There was nothing we could not talk about and if I had to sum Bill up in one word it would be "class". He had a good Irish character and it would show at times but it was always positive. Bill was very intelligent and articulate. He was a gut that was dedicated to anything he did. I just worked with him earlier in the year and had some good interaction. I'll miss Bill. Great Guy!!!
