Obituary of Claudia Jennings

Claudia Jennings 

Claudia Jennings, died on November 3, 2023, in Joliet, Illinois, after having experienced various medical conditions. She was born in Chicago, IL on February 12, 1943, the daughter of the late Edward S. and Lucille (nee Cooney) Jennings, Sr.  Claudia was raised in Oak Park, IL, graduated from St. Catherine of Siena School, Trinity High School, and Loyola University School of Nursing. After working at the former Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital, she subsequently relocated to San Francisco, California where she worked at University California San Francisco Medical Center for 30 plus years. After retirement, she resided in Elmhurst, IL.

Claudia is survived by her brother Edward Stephen (Colleen) Jennings Jr., M.D.; her son, Joseph (Lisa) Castamagna; and grandchildren, Anthony, Tessa, and Nicholas of Santa Rosa, CA.  Many devoted cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

She is preceded by her parents; sister, Susan (John) Collins.

The family would like to thank the Elmhurst Fire Department and her caregiver Irma for their wonderful care.

A Memorial Mass for Claudia Jennings will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy Catholic Church, 38 N. Austin Blvd., Oak Park, IL.  Claudia has chosen to donate her body to Medical Science.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to your favorite charity.
