Obituary of Charles Henry Ronchetti
Charles Henry Ronchetti
Charles Henry Ronchetti, of Naperville, formerly of Joliet, passed away peacefully, at the age of 74, on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Maple Glen Memory Care in Glen Ellyn, IL, surrounded by the love of his family. Chuck was born on July 17, 1949, the son of the late Charles and Norma (nee Molaschi) Ronchetti. He was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering, and was a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserves. Chuck was the 2nd generation owner/operator of Ronchetti Excavating Company and Ronchetti Trucking Company and had a long, successful career until retiring in 2012. During his leadership with the Ronchetti companies, he was a member of the Will County Contractors Association and Operating Engineers Local 150. Chuck was also a longtime active parishioner of Calvary Church in Naperville, in which he spent numerous years traveling with the church around the world on Mission trips. He was generous with his time and was devoted to helping others.
Chuck was an engineer, through and through. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t figure out how to fix on his own. He enjoyed building Hot Rods from scratch and loved working on anything mechanical. Along with his passion for cars, Chuck was also an avid snowmobiler. He was an active participant in the Illinois Association of Snowmobile Clubs (IASC). Above all else, there wasn’t anything that could compare to the love he had for his family and for his beloved canine companions.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janet Lea (nee Kittle) Ronchetti; son, Adam (Lisa) Ronchetti, of Madison, WI; daughter, Elizabeth “Bess” (Michael) Pecoraro, of Bartlett, IL; his first grandchild on the way; one brother, Michael (Rebecca Copeland) Ronchetti of South Bend, IN; and a nephew, Alex (Kathryn) Ronchetti of Tempe, AZ.
