Obituary of Rosemary Dawn Reichenbach

Rosemary Dawn Reichenbach, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Ascension Villa Franciscan in Joliet. Rosemary was born on August 28, 1934 in Chicago to the late Arthur and Sylvia Jungwirth. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of St. Francis, and was a registered nurse, working many years at Silver Cross Hospital in the Labor and Delivery ward. She was an avid runner, and completed many marathons over the years. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Rosemary also had a strong love for animals, especially her pet dogs. She will mostly be remembered though for being a loving mother and grandmother.

Rosemary is survived by her two sons, Robert C. (Pam) Reichenbach and John P. (Patty) Reichenbach; her grandchildren, Kristine (Thomas) Demke, Robert M. (Deborah) Reichenbach, Kyle (Jacquelyn) Reichenbach, Matthew (Abbey) Reichenbach, Brian (Dani) Reichenbach, and John Robert (Kelsey) Reichenbach; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Leroy and very special sister-in-law, Sherry Jungwirth; her brother, Raymond (Sheryl) Jungwirth; and sister, Shirley Gill.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Reichenbach; her parents; and brothers, Arthur and David Jungwirth.

As was Rosemary’s final wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and private family services have been held. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet.
