Obituary of Mary Ann DeNardis
Mary Ann DeNardis, (nee Sicinski), age 82, of Joliet, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at Lightways Hospice, with her loving family by her side.
Born January 10, 1941 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Sylvester) Sicinski, and was a graduate of Joliet Township High School.
Mary Ann worked as a bookkeeper for the former First National Bank of Joliet, both before and after the time she spent at home raising her family. She also previously worked for the Census Bureau. She enjoyed the time she spent as a volunteer for the Crisis Line of Will County and as a member of the Joliet Beach Club.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, and “Nonny” to her precious grandchildren, Mary Ann was a woman of strong faith and very family oriented. She lived for her family, was the family confidant, and deeply valued family life over material things. She also loved music and dancing, and cherished the winters spent in Siesta Key, Florida over 20 years.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 58 years, Carmen DeNardis; her loving children, Gregory (Janet) DeNardis and Gina (Guy) Jones, both of Joliet; her adoring grandchildren, Emily Jones, Anthony DeNardis, Noah Jones, Nicholas Jones and Jenna DeNardis; one brother, Jerome Sicinski; three sisters, Helen (Paul) Guertin, Lois (Nicholas) Tomac, and Julia (the late Richard) Hrechko; a sister-in-law, Maria (the late Frank) Malfatti; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her Hospice care team and will be forever grateful for their help and kindness.
