Obituary of Michelle Marie Blazekovich

Michelle Marie Blazekovich, (nee Breen), age 55, of Channahon, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at home, with her loving family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.  Michelle’s bravery and strength to the end was unwavering.

Born May 21, 1968, in Joliet, she was the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Williams) Breen.  She was a graduate of Minooka High School, and continued her education at Joliet Junior College.  She also completed certification through Cortiva Institute, and enjoyed working as a Massage Therapist.

Michelle was a loyal and faithful friend who knew people wherever she went.  She was passionate in her love for animals, and enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and traveling.  She was also generous with her time serving as a volunteer, as a Sunday School teacher, and as a Girl scout leader.

Her greatest loves, however, were her precious daughters and grandchildren who provided her great joy and pride.  She cherished being “Gaga” to her three grandkids.

Surviving are her three beloved daughters, Nicole (Grant) Onderisin and Kylie Blazekovich, both of Channahon, and Cassie Blazekovich of Joliet; three adoring grandchildren, Brendan, Cameron and Avery; her loving parents, Raymond and Catherine Breen of Channahon; her dear sister and brother, Lori Traver of South Wilmington, and Michael Breen of Channahon; and one niece and three nephews.

Visitation for Michelle Blazekovich will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Channahon United Methodist Church, 24751 W. Eames Street, Channahon, IL 60410.  Funeral services will be Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., also at Channahon United Methodist Church.  Cremation rites will be accorded following services and interment will be private.
