"Pat"
Patricia A. Cipriani, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet. Pat was born in Dekalb, Illinois and was a lifelong resident of Joliet. She attended Joliet schools, graduating from Joliet Township High School and Saint Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. Pat received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Northern Illinois University. She retired from the University of Saint Francis College of Nursing and Allied Health. Throughout her career, Pat was recognized in Who's Who in nursing in 1992, 1993 and 1994, inducted into the University of Saint Francis Honor Society and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Pat had been a volunteer at the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, the American Cancer Society and Joliet Area Community Hospice; she was involved in a variety of medical mission trips through the Catholic Diocese of Joliet, and was a member of the Board of Directors for Will-Grundy Medical Clinic and Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Pat had a deep and abiding love for her profession. She had many hobbies including duplicate bridge, music, theater, literature and travel.
Pat is survived by cousins and good friends, Kay and Ray Mores, Marianne and Tom Manley, Jean Nedelsky and Joyce Klinger, all of Joliet; godson, John Mores of Rockford; and goddaughter, Susan (Manley) Sammons of Kernersville, N.C.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Minnie (nee Dawdy) Cipriani; and her dear friend, Jean Konrad.
Visitation for Patricia A. Cipiriani will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to one's favorite charity would be appreciated.
