Marianne E. Talbot, a longtime Channahon, Illinois resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age of 93.  She was born in Joliet, IL on November 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Flora (Oldham) and Lester Sage.

Marianne will be remembered as a kindhearted woman who possessed a warm smile.  She and her late husband John resided in Springfield, MO where she owned and operated Metcomm Answering Service until they retired to San Diego, CA.  They spent five years there until John's health changed and they opted to return to Channahon.

Marianne is survived by sons, Darrel (Joyce) Thompson, Gary Thompson, Lynn Carter and Jill Steffes; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Janet) Sage and Dean (Gail) Sage as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Talbot; her parents; one sister, Joan (Bud) Lichtenauer; and two brothers, Robert (Candy) Sage and Dale Sage.

As it was Marianne's wish, cremation rites will be accorded and her final earthly remains will be interred at Willard Grove Cemetery in Channahon.
