Obituary of Frank Macias
Frank Macias, age 80, of Romeoville, IL, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 in Des Plaines, IL. He was born on October 12, 1943, in Laredo, TX the son of Francisco and Rosa Macias.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Fredda Macias; children, Chelyna Montoya, Daniel (Marissa) Macias and Joshua Macias; step-children, Danna (Roberta Jones) Leonard and Gina Najera; grandchildren, Johnny (Monica) Montoya and Daniel Montoya, Reagan and Mitchell Macias; and dear great-grandchildren. Frank will also be missed by many other family members and friends.
Frank worked as a Laborers Local 681 for 35 years, retiring in 2009. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed gardening, rooting for his beloved White Sox, and watching many other sports. He also had a soft heart for animals, especially stray cats.

A Memorial Gathering for Frank Macias will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet. As it was his wish, cremation rites will be accorded.
