Obituary of Joe Louis Edmon
Joe Louis Edmon, age 82, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
He was born in Joliet, IL on June 19, 1941, the son of the late John and Ellen (nee Holley) Edmon.
Joe retired from Kerr/Ball Glass Company after 30 years of service. During his retirement, he worked as a reading tutor for the Joliet Public Schools, which he so dearly loved. At the age of 19, he dedicated his life to Jehovah through baptism on December 31, 1960. He will be dearly missed by all.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Connie; sister, Opal Boozer; niece, Bernadette Boozer; brother-in-law, Tom Smith; sister-in-law, Carolyn Embody; nephews, Mark Crayton and David Crayton; several other nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and one sister.
Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Joe’s life on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2325 Theodore St., Joliet, IL 60403. As it was his final wish, cremation rites have been accorded.
