Obituary of Bruce Allen Kruizenga
Bruce Allen Kruizenga
Bruce Allen Kruizenga, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 1, 2024, at his home in Tooele, Utah. He was born on December 12, 1962 in Joliet, IL, and grew up in Summit, IL, the son of Nancy Frantz and Butch Kruizenga. Bruce led a life of service to his country and community by serving within the Explosive Ordnance Division in the United States Army and as a police officer for 23 years in the City of Lockport, IL.
Bruce spent his time tinkering in the garage, riding anything with two wheels, camping, tending to his garden, running, and singing to his beloved animals. To quote Bruce “I would watch anything racing, even two turtles.” Bruce lived his life to the fullest every single day. He had many friends and never failed to make them laugh or smile. He will be missed by many, especially his family and pets.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany Kruizenga; his four children, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Gallagher, Britny (Tim) Kruizenga, Nathan Knapczyk, and Abigal Kiernan; three grandchildren, Aubrianna, Ariella, and Mckenzie; his mom, Nancy Frantz; four siblings, Bill (Tina) Kruizenga, Diane (Mitch) Neal, Brad (Liz) Kruizenga, and Brian Kruizenga; his three animals, Mabel May, Auggie Samuel, and Annie Bananie; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Butch Kruizenga; and his two dogs, Casey Lee and Sammy Sam.
