Patrick Lee Tordai
Patrick Lee Tordai, passed away at the age of 71, on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Loyola Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Joliet, IL, on April 8, 1952. Patrick was raised in Elwood, IL and was a graduate of Joliet East High School and was veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Stepan Chemical Company after 30 dedicated years as a Chemical Plant Operator.
Pat enjoyed being outdoors. He loved relaxing on the water with a fishing pole in his hand. He enjoyed his annual trips to Pelican Lake in Minnesota and bringing back his catch for a fish fry with family. He loved being out on his Harley with his brother and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and loved spending time with his grand children. He was always the first person to give a helping hand when friends or family needed anything at all.
Patrick is survived by two sons, Rodney Tordai and Jeff (Corinne) Tordai; mother, Norma Tordai; grandchildren, Chase and Ella Tordai; siblings, Michael (Rhonda) Tordai, Kathleen Tordai, and Virginia Phillips; and his nephew, Dusty Phillips.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Tordai; and his nephew, Maxx Phillips.
Funeral Services for Patrick Lee Tordai will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with military honors held under the auspices of the United States Army. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday February 23rd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
