Huggins, Norma L.
(nee Spice)
Age 86, of Manhattan, IL was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on January 23, 2011. Born in Oconto Falls, WI on May 22, 1924 to wonderful parents, Joseph and Augusta Spice. Norma met her loving husband, Ralph, while working at the West Side Bakery. She was a sales lady, and Ralph was a baker.
Preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elda (Carl) McMurray of Camarillo, CA, and Helen (Benny) Wahl of New Lenox, IL; and one brother, Mervin Spice of Joliet.
Survived by her two daughters, Annette (Ron) Smith of Shorewood, and Carol Gear (Richard) Nelson of Joliet; two sons, Gerald (Patti) Gear of Joliet and Wayne (Brenda) Gear of Channahon; stepson, Dwain (Nancy) Huggins of Channahon; sister, Margaret Zeleznik of Leroy, IL; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-gradnchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Norma L. Huggins will be Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob Hahn officiating Entombment Elmhurst Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Sunny Hill Nursing Home or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
