Obituary of James Hulbert
James R. Hulbert
Age 76. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his late residence. Born in Elmhurst and a Joliet resident for the past 15 years. A U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He retired from Illinois Bell Telephone in 1991. A member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Chapter #15. Volunteered for the Recording for the Blind for over 35 years.
Preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Dr. John Hulbert.
Survived by his wife of 49 years, Teresa (nee Peterson) Hulbert of Joliet; two daughters, Lois (Dave) Lea of Minooka and Barb (John) Herbert of Shorewood, IL; four grandchildren, Jackie, Cole, A.J. and Eric; one sister, June (Stan) Sliwa of Loves Park; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Hulbert of Indian Head Park; two nephews and one niece also survive.
A Memorial Service for James R. Hulbert will be held on Sunday August 24, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Private inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorial visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
