When I was just five, Aunt Terre introduced me to the world of music with a drum lesson on a small practice kit in grandma's basement. I remember vibrant gatherings with her and her sisters, Gerre and Kimmi. Together, they were a dynamic force—truly like lightning in a room. Their spirit and the music they created together were unforgettable. Though their thunder has quieted with their passing, their legacy continues.
Now, my cousin Missy, a talented singer and Aunt Terre's daughter, and I, a guitarist, carry forward the musical tradition instilled in us. As we play, I like to think there's a bit more lightning in Heaven now, echoing the joyous sounds they once made here with us.
