Obituary of David Lee Kreiger, Sr.
David Lee Kreiger, Sr., age 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Channahon on April 24, 2024, with his family by his side. Dave was born on May 10, 1950, in Joliet to the late Louis and Vivian Kreiger. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served as a medic. Dave worked for over 30 years for Brakur Cabinets of Shorewood. Following his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, and was a racing enthusiast. Dave was known for being a hard working jack-of-all-trades, and could often be found fixing something around the house or one of his cars. On June 15, 2006, he married Lorraine M. Holly, and the two would have celebrated their 18th anniversary this coming June.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Holly; his children, David L. (Margaret) Kreiger, Jr., Doug (Koreen) Kreiger, Amber Kreiger, Brian (Victoria) Tyrcha, and James Tyrcha; his grandchildren, Max and Zoe Kreiger, Connor and Shaylee Kreiger, and Emma Tyrcha.
As it was his wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and family will be having private services. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet.
