Obituary of Jorge C. Arias
Jorge C. Arias, age 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet. Jorge was born in Mexico on August 11, 1952, to the late Lino and Soledad Arias. He was a proud member of the Labor Union, Local 75.
Jorge is survived by his wife, Maria L. Arias; his children, Sonia (Flavio) Landeros, Jorge (Denise) Arias, and Angela (Samuel) Garcia; his grandchildren, Lucero (Manuel Antonio) Valdez, Clarissa (Alejandro) Calvillo, Alexia Arias, Jorge L. (Carolina Pitones) Arias, Jr., Enrique De Jesus Landeros, Itzel (Axel Pazos) Ortiz, Cristian Ortiz-Arias, Krystal Ortiz-Arias, Jasmine Ortiz, Enrique Alonz Arias, and Cataliah Arias; his great-grandchildren, Giovanni Steven Valdez, Miguel Antonio Valdez, Rigoberto Calvillo, Rodrigo Calvillo, Roman Calvillo, and Eliza Sofia Arias; and his beloved pets, Gringo and Tango Arias.
Visitation for Jorge C. Arias will be Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black (at Essington) Rd., Joliet. Funeral services will be Friday, May 10, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, then processing to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St., Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet.
