I am so sorry to just be hearing about Vernie’s death. I grew up right across the field from the Ness farm & have fond memories of the family.
I would run into Vernie occasionally in Morris & he always liked to chat about the farm, etc.
My condolences…

What a great picture of Vernie!
Both my husband & I were classmates of Vernie's.
His mother, Ora, knew my mother from their West Lisbon days together. So when Vernie needed a little help with passing his typing class, the Mom's got together and Vernie & I did some Sunday afternoon typing together.
I would often see him at Walmart or Walgreens and he ALWAYS stopped to talk.
He worried about the crops like the true farmer he was!
I hope you didn't have to suffer Vernie, Rest in Peace in the arms of our Lord!
