Obituary of Patricia Schulte
Age 58, of Plainfield, Illinois and formerly Lemont, passed from this life, early Wednesday morning, June 5, 2024 at the University of Chicago Hospital after a very short battle with leukemia.
Patty was born July 12, 1965 to the late Rita and Frank Skupien. She was raised and educated in Lemont where she spent many years. Patty was loved for being an adoring mother, friend, and grandmother. She was always there when you needed her.
She is the beloved mother of Alexis (Tyler) Seifert; a proud and devoted grandmother of Knox and McKinley. Patty is also survived by her siblings, Frank, Chuck, Debbie (Brown) and Rick Skupien as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. As well as her dog Mia.
Patty worked as a human resources specialist over the years. She enjoyed exploring nature, and listening to classic rock, especially Pat Benatar, but nothing made her happier than being a doting grandmother. They were her whole world and she was theirs. She also loved cuddles from her daughter’s Pitbull Blue.
All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. to honor Patty at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.
As it was Patty’s wish cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to Lurie’s Children’s Hosptial.
