Obituary of Dee Ann Heimer

DEE ANN (CHAPMAN) HEIMER

Dee Ann Heimer, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed into Heaven on June 22, 2024 at Edwards Hospital in Naperville.

Dee Ann was born on May 7, 1947 to George and Dellora (Anderson) Chapman in Ottawa, Illinois. 

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Peddicord, Katie (Joe) Hughes and Sara (Mike) Small; her grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Whitney, Chelsey, Taylor, Hannah, Connor, Claire and Campbell; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Peggy Silberhorn, and her brother Don Chapman; and several beloved nieces, and the best cat in the world, Sherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dee Ann worked many clerical jobs over the years before retiring.  She spent her retirement spoiling Sherman, and enjoying each day.  She loved Jesus and participated in many Bible studies, where she made a number of lifelong friendships.

Cremation rites have been accorded. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m until time of service with Pastor Wade Heimer officiating at 1:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6, Morris.
