Deepest condolences to Darnell's wife, children, family & friends. Darnell was my next-door neighbor for a few years. He always said hi to me & my boyfriend & waved. He helped us get a refrigerator into my house & talked with my boyfriend about sports & other stuff. He had a very good sense of humor. He was my nicest neighbor. My boyfriend & I will miss him. I know that Darnell is with God in Heaven because he was a very good man. He was a hard worker & loved spending time with his family. May Darnell rest in peace.

I remember one Christmas, when my Uncle was literally fighting for his life ( Covid ) , and my mother and I were heartbroken. Mel and Orlando opened their home to us for their holiday party. The food, the love, and the comfort we felt was like being covered with a warm blanket.
My uncle died but Mel and her hubby soothed our souls, if only for a while and I'm eternally grateful.
Mel, the Lumpkin family sends our deepest condolences.
Your friend/sister
