Obituary of Lillian Margaret Davis

Lillian Davis, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, age 59, of Morris, IL, passed away at Hinsdale Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer on July 15, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Lillian was born in Tampa, Florida on August 16, 1964, to Edward Rudd Dorough and Dorothy Faye Brown. She attended Romeoville High School where she met the love of her life, Steve, who she married in 1984 and spent 40 wonderful years with.

Lillian spent many years as a stay-at-home mom and homemaker until she went back to work at Farm and Fleet. There she became known as the garden lady, where her love and knowledge of plants truly shone. Eventually, she ended up at Runnings in Morris where her hard work and open, easy-going personality touched the lives of everyone she worked with. She was a kind, loving, funny, and selfless woman. Beloved by all, she will be greatly missed.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Steve Davis; her four children; Steve (Carmen), Edward, Christopher (Amber), and Heather (Tyler); and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she devoted so much love and time to.

Lillian was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; her father, Edward; her sister, Paula; her father-in-law, Luther; and stepfather, Paul.

All friends and relatives are invited to join together for a Celebration of Lillian's life on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1414 Dupont Ave, Morris.
