Robyn Clennon

Obituary of Robyn L. Clennon

Robyn L. Clennon, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Minooka on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Robyn was born on May 20, 1961, in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Edie Turner and Kenneth Ray. On April 4, 2000, she married Daniel Clennon, and the two recently celebrated 24 years of marriage. Many may recognize her familiar face from her time spent working for Casey's in Channahon for the past six years. Robyn loved music, and relaxing in the pool. She enjoyed going to the auto shows with her husband, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She especially enjoyed trips to the beach. But she got the most enjoyment from time spent with family and friends, especially her kids and grandkids.

Robyn is survived by her husband, Daniel Clennon; her children, Erik Fritz, Brandon (Jacey) Clennon, and Chelsea (Dane Sorensen) Fritz; her grandchildren, Casey, Cody, and Caden Clennon, and Rhett Sorensen; her mother and stepfather, Edie and Charlie Herzberger; her father, Kenneth Ray; her sister, Dawn (Jack) Dempsay; her sisters-in-law, Gerri (Jason, Sr.) Houck, Sue (Brian) Clodi, Diane Clennon, Kathy (Joe) Pershey, and Lisa (Darren Caise) Clennon; her step-siblings, Mary (Mark) Dempsey, Mark (Jamie) Herzberger, Sue Petrovic, numerous nieces, and nephews; many good friends; and her beloved dogs, Olive and Rohna and her newly found kitty.

She is preceded in death by her special grandmother, Opal Schearer; and brothers-in-law, Thomas and Steve Clennon.

As it was Robyn's wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and private services will be held. Her family will scatter her ashes in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of St. Petersburg, FL. All friends and family are invited to join together and celebrate Robyn's life on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. at The Office Bar & Grill, 25520 Pheasant Lane in Channahon. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Morris.
