Keith Rabenau
Keith Rabenau, age 66, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Keith was born on December 7, 1957 in Joliet to the late Richard and Carol Rabenau. Keith grew up for a time in Kansas, but he and his family moved back to the Joliet area after high school. He worked for many years as a warehouse supervisor, for a time with Interstate Warehousing, and more recently with GEODIS.
Keith enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He loved good times spent with friends and family. He recently had taken up bike riding, but his favorite mode of transportation was still his Mustang.
Keith is survived by his son, Joshua (Lily Avitia) Rabenau; his grandson, Adrian Rabenau; brother, Dave (Dee) Rabenau; niece, Lindsay (Rene) Reyna; nephew, Robert (Gabrielle) Rabenau; great-nephews, Grayson, Gavin, Gabriel, William, and Jacob; and dear friend , Lori Peterson.
Visitation for Keith Rabenau will be Tuesday September 3, 2024 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A prayer service will conclude the evening beginning at 8 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following Keith’s services.
