Obituary of Alison Findley

Alison L. Findley

Age 62, of Morris, Illinois formerly Joliet and Ottawa, passed tragically Friday, August 30, 2024.  She was born December 13, 1961, to the late Judy (Garland) and Allan Findley in Joliet where she was raised and educated.  Alison also resided in Wisconsin and Nebraska for a short time before moving back to Illinois.

She is survived by her sons, Chris Nielsen, John B. (LeAnn) Goeken, and Donovan Kuta; grandchildren, John "Jack" Goeken, Jordan Brennan, Ian Nielsen, and Christian Nielsen as well as several relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ricky Floyd.

Alison sang in bands over the years that performed regularly at fests and clubs in the Will and Grundy area.  She possessed a beautiful voice and was always inspired by collaborating with her bandmates while watching the audience enjoying the music and life itself.

A memorial service will be held on November 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Ambassadors for Christ Church, 702 E. North Street in Morris.
