Obituary of Irene Jahnke

Jahnke, Irene C. (nee Hucik) Age 83. Passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. Preceded in death by her mother, Mary (nee Benicky) Hucik-Sablatura; her father, Matthew Hucik; brother-in law, John Slucki and sister-in-law, Joyce (Wesley) Wilson; and great-granddaughter, Kenadie L. Newell. Survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Arthur R. Jahnke; loving daughters, Marlene (Gary) Hinthorn, Nancy (Robert) Munday, Sr., Elaine (Michael) Bessette, and Laura Jahnke; dearest grandchildren, Jeffrey (Christina) Hinthorn, Tracy (Jeremy) Minski, Kelly Hinthorn, Kevin (Heather) Hinthorn, Bob (Missy) Munday, Jr., Colleen (Ryan) Nurczyk, Scott (Jen) Munday, Erin Munday, Kristine (Ryan) Hill, Lauren (Jaime) Newell, and Renee (Craig) Schwab; 17 precious great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Slucki; one brother, Thomas (Helen) Hucik; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dave Skorupa, Irene Littlejohn, 1st Avenue Staff of Sunny Hill Nursing Home, Joliet Area Community Hospice and all Irene's caregivers for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral Services for Irene C. Jahnke will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
