Obituary of R. Jamieson

R. Alan Jamieson Age 83, of Joliet and formerly of Los Angeles, CA, and the Chicagoland area, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Born in Chicago, IL June 29, 1926 to the late William D. and Ella (nee Seeling) Jamieson, Sr. A U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and a Notre Dame Graduate, he was an Independent Venture Capitalist. He is survived by his sisters, Ella J. (late Lawrence M., Sr.) Ryan of Joliet, Mary Jane Walz of Downers Grove, Anne (late Edward) Walsh of Milwaukee, WI and 23 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marguerite (late William) Hinz; four brothers, Edward S. (Mariella), Robert J.(Mona), William D. Jr. and Walter J. Jamieson. All friends and relatives are invited to meet Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet, where Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow, Holy Sepulchre.
