Jerry Lowell Helms

Age 62, of Channahon, Illinois passed from this life Friday, November 29, 2024. He was born August 6, 1962, in Baxter Springs, KS to the late Shirley (Davidson) and Tommy L. Helms. Jerry was raised and educated in the Channahon/Minooka area and is a graduate of Minooka Community High School.

Jerry is survived by his partner Eileen Boyle, daughters, Tara Hulbert (Andrew Kovacevic) and Samantha Hulbert (Antonio Leon); son, Joseph (Kasey) Hirsch; grandchildren, Joey, Hailey, Leah, Abel, Gabriel, Adrian, Arianna, Jesse, Noah, Ever, Aurora and Ryland; brother, Terry (Terrye) Helms and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda (Corzine) Helms, his parents, and one sister, Sheree Helms-McKinney.

Jerry was employed by the Village of Channahon for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, bingo, attending concerts, watching movies and football as well as visiting Las Vegas and Mexico. However, nothing made him happier than being around his grandkids.

All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Rt 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5 p.m. until his Memorial Service begins at 7 p.m. As it was Jerry’s wish cremation rites have been accorded.
