Dorothy D. Jasinski
(nee Jones)
Age 83, at rest Friday, September 2, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Born November 24, 1927, she entered the Lord's family through Holy Baptism on March 28, 1937 and confirmed her Christian faith through the Rite of Confirmation on April 6, 1941. Dorothy was a founding member of Hope Lutheran Church in Shorewood where she enjoyed fellowship in the Circle of Friendship. She was a genuine person who lived her life with integrity. She was a loving wife and mother who was also seen as a "second mom" to the friends of her children.
Survived by her son, Dr. Robert W. (Rebecca) Jasinski of Holland, MI and her daughter, Kari (Michael) Rieuf; and three grandchildren, Brita and Briana Jasinski and Kayli Rieuf. Three sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Jasinski, Sr. (1995); one son, Brett Alan in infancy; one granddaughter, Jenna Lynn in infancy; her parents, Thomas and Linda (nee Nickel) Jones, Sr.; and one brother, Thomas Jones, Jr.
Dorothy D. Jasinski will lie in state Wednesday, September 7 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 305 E. Black Rd., Shorewood. Reverend George A. Klima, officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to Hope Lutheran Church or a lymphoma society of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 3-8 p.m. at:
