Clara Ann Srncik

Clara Ann Srncik passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.  Clara was born on July 30, 1949, the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara nee Goron) Kovalcik.  Born and raised in Joliet, Clara attended St. Thaddeus grade school and was a graduate of Joliet Central High School.  Clara retired after 17 dedicated years from the Will County Clerk’s office as a Deputy Clerk in the tax department. 

When she wasn’t making memories on family vacations to Disney, Clara stayed busy scrapbooking, watching Hallmark movies, and supporting her grandchildren’s activities. She loved the beauty of a sunflower, and enjoyed her collection of gnomes and decorating the house for every holiday. 

Clara is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John J. Srncik; her daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Love and Kristi (Jason) Pleshar; grandchildren, James Love, twins, Raylee and Jason Pleshar, and Brayden Pleshar; one brother, Leroy Kovalcik; and a dear friends, Nancy Montello.

She is preceded by her parents; and her aunt Florence Goron.

Funeral Service for Clara Ann Srncik will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the funeral home chapel from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
