My memory of Charlie goes back about sixty five years to the fraternity at Purdue. Since those early days we have traveled the world over including numerous trips to Crooked Lake, Hawaii, Beaver Creek and Europe. My phone memory bank is filled with memories. Charlie leaves us with a big whole that only he can fill. He was always involved and not in a small way. He took a leadership role in all the organizations and was extremely generous. Charlie was a gifted guy. We are all going to miss him especially Lucy and his family. It is not easy to say goodbye. Farewell dear friend. Thank you for all that you have done.t

Lucy,
We have not seen much of each other since we moved to North Carolina, but we keep in touch with the SMBC'ers and activities. We were saddened to hear about Charlie's illness and eventual passing. Charlie was one of the nicest people we have ever met and we loved being with you both at many SMBC events--especially the gathering on Amelia Island.
We offer our blessings and wishes for peace to you, your family and to Charlie.
