Obituary of Marian Jehle

Marian Meers Jehle (Nee Duffy) Age 78, a lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at her home. Born September 3, 1931 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Dr. Joseph and Madeleine (nee Dailey) Duffy. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who spent a lifetime being kind to everyone she encountered, especially her family. Preceded in death by her husbands, Mark Meers (11/12/1971) and Stephen Jehle (6/2/2005); brother, Dr. John "Jack" Duffy; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Fanning and William Smith. Surviving are her children, Madeleine (Thomas) Dimitroff of London, England, Mary (Steve Jones) Snow and Mark (Margie Stanfel) Meers, both of Joliet; four grandchildren, Laura (Lee) Thorpe, John, Elizabeth and Catherine Dimitroff; three stepchildren, Stephen Jehle, Jr., Mary Sue (Daniel) Softcheck and Meg Jehle; three sisters, Frances (late Eugene) Fanning, Catherine (George) O'Leary and Peggy (Thomas) Carey; one brother, Joseph (Sally) Duffy; two sisters-in-law, Sara (the late William) Smith and Phyllis (the late Jack) Duffy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Mass for Marian Meers Jehle will be celebrated on Friday August 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet, IL. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice. Memorial visitation 9:00 a.m. until services at St. Paul. Arrangements by: FRED C.
