Obituary of Elizabeth Jones

Elizabeth Jane Jones (nee Scully) "Betty" Age 87. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Courtyard of Loyalton with her family by her side. Born in Joliet on August 5, 1923 to the late Emmett and Bessie Scully. She was a longtime parishioner of both St. Mary Immaculate and the Church of St. Jude. She was also a member of the Elks Club. Betty is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Kenneth Jones; her sons, Dr. Mark (Michelle) Jones, Kurt (the late Linda) Jones, and Scott (Mary) Jones; grandchildren Lindsay and Sean Jones; her brother Robert (Rosemary) Scully; and nieces Kim (Brad) Walton and Rebecca (Kevin) Juhaut. The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of the Courtyard of Loyalton and Joliet Area Community Hospice for their compassion and care. Funeral services for Betty Jones will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Jude with Inurnment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
