Gertrude L. Jostak

Age 86. Late of Shorewood, and formerly of Oak Lawn, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Timbers of Shorewood.
Born February 10, 1922 in Joliet, to the late Andrew and Agnes (nee Shroba) Jostak, she was a graduate of Joliet Township High School. She served with the Women's Army Corp during World War II. Retired from General Motors Insurance Corp., Oak Lawn, as an underwriter with over 25 years of service.
Survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Matthew) Luksic of Clermont, FL; her niece, Jan (Jack) Skeldon of Joliet; grand nieces, Jacy (Mike) Salber of Clermont, FL, Jami (David) Bustamante of Dearborn, MI, and Jennifer (John) Stephens of Shorewood; 15 great-grand nieces and nephews, and special friends, Marilyn Knater and the Watson Family.
The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice and the Timbers of Shorewood for their loving care and support.
Memorial services for Gertrude L. Jostak will be Friday, February 22, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet. Interment with full military honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Memorials to Vitas Hospice would be appreciated. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by:
