Obituary of James Kapinus

James A. Kapinus "Jim" Age 42, of Lockport, passed away unexpectedly at home, Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was born in Joliet February 12, 1970 to William "Bill" and Margaret "Peggy" (nee O'Brien) Kapinus. Jim attended St. Mary Nativity Catholic Grade School and Joliet Catholic Academy graduating with the Class of 1988. He was employed by Excel Corporation as a warehouse supervisor, and in his spare time, enjoyed fishing and tinkering with his motorcycle. Survived by his parents; one sister, Chris (Jerry) Lindahl; one brother, Dan (Soufi) Kapinus; one sister-in-law, Jieun Kapinus; proud uncle of Yosef Kapinus and Emily Kapinus. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his brother, Steven M. Kapinus; and his grandparents. You could always count on Jim to lend a helping hand. He was very dependable and never hesitated to be there when he was needed. He will truly be missed. Funeral Services for James A. Kapinus will be Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
