Obituary of Jennie Karruckas

Jennie H. Karruckas (nee Figlewski) Age 88. Passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Born in Joliet, she was a lifelong Joliet area resident. Retired from Syl's Restaurant after over 25 years of service. A member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Her greatest joys in life were her family and her flowers and garden. Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Karruckas (1974); her parents, Walter and Mary (nee Ugorowski) Figlewski; her stepfather, Michael Puslicke; two brothers, Eddie and Edmund Figlewski; and one sister, Sophie Pasteris. Survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Mary Lou Jordan of Joliet; beloved granddaughter, Dr. Deanna (Michael) Kauffman of Minnesota; special grandson, Christopher Jordan of Manito, IL; and two precious great-grandchildren, Madeline and Braden Kauffman. Private funeral services were held. A special thanks and deepest gratitude to Dr. R. W. Schubert, and Paula, and Kathy Miller from Leeza's Place.
