Arthur J. Keating
"Joe"
Age 51. Unexpectedly, Monday, March 30, 2009 at his late residence. Born in Joliet to the late Arthur P. and Elsa (nee Peterson) Keating, he was a long time Coal City/Morris resident, living in Joliet the past 20 years. Employed by I.B.E.W. Local #176 for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved to play with his dogs. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a die-hard
AC/DC and drag racing fan.
Surviving are his two daughters, Holly (Mike) McDaniel of Coal City and Katie (Frank) Thompson of Pontiac, IL; four grandchildren, Lindsey, T.J., Mikey and Donovan; stepmother, Edna Keating of Coal City; his siblings, Dennis "Doc" (Betty Rae) Keating, Phillip "Tony" (Harriet) Keating, Kathleen Elms, Peggy (William) Stonich and Steven Keating; his beloved canine companion, Duchess; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas; sister, Mary Beth Barnett; and his much missed dog, Gypsy.
Funeral Services for Joe will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Morris, IL. Memorials in his name to the wishes of the family would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 3-7 p.m. at:
