Obituary of Arthur Keating

Arthur J. Keating "Joe" Age 51. Unexpectedly, Monday, March 30, 2009 at his late residence. Born in Joliet to the late Arthur P. and Elsa (nee Peterson) Keating, he was a long time Coal City/Morris resident, living in Joliet the past 20 years. Employed by I.B.E.W. Local #176 for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved to play with his dogs. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a die-hard AC/DC and drag racing fan. Surviving are his two daughters, Holly (Mike) McDaniel of Coal City and Katie (Frank) Thompson of Pontiac, IL; four grandchildren, Lindsey, T.J., Mikey and Donovan; stepmother, Edna Keating of Coal City; his siblings, Dennis "Doc" (Betty Rae) Keating, Phillip "Tony" (Harriet) Keating, Kathleen Elms, Peggy (William) Stonich and Steven Keating; his beloved canine companion, Duchess; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas; sister, Mary Beth Barnett; and his much missed dog, Gypsy. Funeral Services for Joe will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Morris, IL.
