Keigher, George R.
"Dude"
Age 77. Suddenly, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at his late residence. Born in Joliet to the late George and Clara (May) Keigher, he was a lifelong resident. United in marriage to Donna M. (Bianco) on July 9, 1955. Life member of the Irving A.C. and the Southside Civic Club. Retired from ComEd in 1994 following 28 years of service. George was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his loving wife, Donna; three children, Anthony (Vicki) Keigher, Terri (Tim) Johnson, and Georganne (Michael) Lambert all of Joliet; five grandchildren, Kristin (Bill) Havican, Cori Johnson, Kelly and Ashley Lambert, and Joseph Keigher; one great-granddaughter, Maddie Havican; one sister, Lorraine (James) Devine; two brothers, Gerald "Nibs" and Tom "TK" (Ellen) Keigher all of Joliet; his former daughter-in-law, Laurie Keigher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Delores Petropolis and Sharon Paris.
Funeral Services for Dude Keigher will be Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
