Obituary of Kenneth Kemp

Kenneth W. Kemp Age 86. At rest Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born November 21, 1921 in Essex, IL to Edward and Lila (nee Downey) Kemp. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1979 after many years of service in the Parts Department. Member of St. John Lutheran Church. An avid Cubs fan, he loved fishing, camping, and dancing. Surviving are two daughters, Janet (William) Boyd of Shorewood and Lynne (David) Barnes of Cypress, TX; eight grandchildren, Kathleen (Tom) Lukancic, John (Kris) Ruddy, Erin Ruddy, Lori Ruddy, Brian Ruddy, Brad Barnes, Adam Barnes and Sarah Barnes; four great-grandchildren, Steven Kelly, Colleen Lukancic, Gina Ruddy and Carly Ruddy; Preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy L. (nee Kurtz) Kemp (November 16, 2006); and his parents. Funeral services for Kenneth Kemp will be Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
