Obituary of Raymond Kezerle

Kezerle, Raymond R. Age 86. Passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. A WWII U. S. Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne during the Battle of the Bulge. Member of VFW Cantigny Post #367. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Crest Hill where he served for many years as an usher. He was an accomplished artist, and enjoyed flying fishing and meeting with his coffee shop group. His dry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lillian (nee Shields) Kezerle of Crest Hill; two sons, David Kezerle and Daniel (Patty) Kezerle; three grandchildren, Collin (Lori) Kezerle, Katie and Andrew Kezerle; two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Michael; one brother, Robert (Betty) Kezerle; brother-in-law, Ray (Corky) Shields; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances (nee Sustersich) Kezerle; and one sister, Lillian Kezerle. Funeral Services for Raymond R. Kezerle will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Anne Catholic Church, Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will take place Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
