Aunt Ruth you were the 'sunshine' in our lives. We cherish the memories of times spent with you. Whether it was recalling family stories, sharing a cooking tip, watching you knit for hours and hours, or playing a wild game of Uno, you always made our days brighter. Each time we spend in our garden and each time we cuddle in the warmth of your sweaters you will never be forgotten. You were a blessing to all who were within your light.

Aunt Ruth you changed my outlook on life. You seemed to made an impact on everyone who met you. I used to feel out of place when it came to the other family members. That is until I got to meet you and share your life story. You've taught me so much that I never new about my Pop Pop. I am thankful that he has such a wonderful sister and that you are both together in God's kingdom. I won't say any goodbyes, because I know in your own way you will find a way to reach out to us to let us know you are okay. We all have loved taking care of your Martin for you. You will always be his Momma Ruth. He will always be taken cared of and loved in our home.
I wanted to also thank you for being there for my Mom, as she was for you. You've helped her mend her heart after the loss of both of her parents. I know you will be her angel now, so check in on her once in awhile. I'm so thankful that my Andy got to know his Great Great Aunt. He sends all of his love to you. Rest in piece our dear Aunt Ruth. Until we meet again.

Aunt Ruth loved everyone. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. To her family at Pressence Villa Franciscan, she loved them all and would tell me the stories of her extended family. If someone needed something, she would call me and ask me to get it for them. She loved her immediate family. She would come and spend holidays with my family and my cousin's family. She loved games of all kind. And it was during those holidays, she would love to get the kids involved in the games with her. Her big love, was her black cat, Martin. When she went into the nursing home, my daughter took Martin in with her. She had two other cats, and he made himself at home. Every visit would start out with, "How is my love doing?". My fondest memories (and there are so many) are the shopping excursions we went on. We started out with at least 6 stores and as her illness progressed, it came down to her waiting in the car while I ran in. I never knew about my father's childhood, but through her, I came to know my father in a more complete way, and for that I will always be grateful. Though my heart breaks for me, I rejoice she is now home with her family. She always said it was a good day if she woke up and they weren't throwing dirt in her face. God speed on you journey, with all my love. Margie Rose
