Dearest Barbara: I can't believe its been a year since we lost John. Barb, you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May the grace, mercy and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to comfort you in your grieving. I pray happy memories will soon out number your sadness. Blessings and Love to you, Lana. p.s. I have not called or written you because my cell phone crashed with your telephone numbers and address. AND, I misplaced all my paperwork from when I was calling for the MHS'62 Chicago Connection Group. Please feel free to call me anytime @ 630-772-3562. Perhaps you might enjoy getting together for lunch/dinner sometime? I would be happy to drive out to Morris and meet you. xoxoxo

I just learned that John passed away! He was a friend from Moline high school! I have wonderful memories of John! He was a great guy! He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye! It is good to hear that he enjoyed an active life and his passing was peaceful! He will certainly be missed by his friends and family.

I just read on our MHS Class of '62 website that Johnnie has passed. So very sorry to hear that. I was glad to have been able to spend some time with Johnnie and Barbara in the Spring of 2013. Our planned lunch date progressed well into the evening and what fun we had! I laughed so hard my side ached. Johnnie hadn't changed that much since high school, he still had the same great laugh and warm heart. I will always remember our dear class mate from Moline High School Class of 1962. Barbara: I pray all the wonderful memories will carry you through the coming months and years. Blessings & Love to you, Lana Jacobs.

John, you will really be missed! Thank you for taking such great care of my second family for all these years! I will be watching over them for you!! Barb was saying tonight how great you treated her. So good to hear! Your family should be proud you made and enriched so many lives after difficult situations. You are a terrific man and will be missed! If everyone had half as good of a heart as you...we would be in a better place! Hope you're catching some big fish! Xoxo

Whenever I called out to Morris, John would always say "Auntieee Judddd" no matter if he answered the phone or Barb answered he would be in the back ground. This always brought a smile to my face.
John " The Bassman" you will truly be missed by all who loved you.

"John John", I will miss your sunshine smile. I know you are smiling above with the angels in heaven. I will miss your laughter. Dave's stories would make you giggle so hard. I will miss you calling me "staree" when I would call. All the good times you shared with our family for the past 17 years; holidays, barbecues, vacations, fishing, and even playing basketball with the kids. You will truly be missed, but I know you are in a good place with the angels of heaven.
