Obituary of Keith McAlpine

Keith McAlpine Age 60. Passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home in Romeoville with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Iserlohn, Germany on February 4, 1954 to the late Duncan and Bonnie McAlpine. Former owner and operator of Demand Solutions Midwest for over 15 years. Employed by Envista of Carmel, IN as an account manager. He was an avid ham radio operator and a member of the Illinois Radio League and Sky Warn, a weather spotting and observation reporting directly to the National Weather Service. Survived by his wife, Rhonda Roos of Romeoville; sons, Michael (Eleanor) McAlpine of London, Ontario, and Peter (Amanda) McAlpine of Guelph, Ontario; daughter, Shelagh (Greg) Balfoort of Fergus, Ontario; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce (Nancy) of Toronto, Canada and Craig (Alice) McAlpine of Montreal, Canada; and one sister, Lynn McAlpine, also of Montreal, Canada. Preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service for Keith McAlpine will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Cremation Rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Robert Lurie Cancer Center, 303 E. Superior Street, Chicago, IL 60611 would be appreciated.
