What wonderful, touching, fun and hilarious memories of my Aunt Char. From when the bulk of the clan lived in Chicago to when they moved to the Joliet area, our families have been very very close. When I was young and my Mother, your sister, Pat, was afraid to let me go to stay for a few nights in Chicago, Aunt Char pleaded my case. I remember Donny and Char leaving one night and me looking out my bedroom window crying me eyes out because I wasn't allowed to go.
Well, they turned back and somehow, someway, I was in the car with my Aunt and Uncle heading to Chicago.
When in my teen years, Aunt Char and Uncle Donny's house was my second home. Would eat dinner at home (early, like 4pm) then walk to their house and darn if I wouldn't have a second dinner. How in the world did I stay skinny?
Georgia (Charlotte's oldest daughter and my best childhood friend) and I were a trial for the parents--I know. We had the loudest laughs (really screams) that I have ever heard. Where did Aunt Charlotte get the patience?
How many wonderful holidays our families always spent together. Christmas, at my Mom and Dad's and Thanksgiving at Char and Donny's. Best dressing and potato salad ever.
Later on, there was Char, Pat, Linda and Heather (my daughter) at Merichka's doing the hostess duties. Thanks Char and Mom for showing us the ropes.
A special bond was forged over many years. Will always keep you and yours in my heart. Until we meet again, God Bless.
Also wishing to offer sympathy and prayers for the family, Mark Mufich (Linda's husband). Who Aunt Char loved teasing!

To my aunt Charlotte and her family we are sorry for her passing. She was a wonderful aunt and friend. I will always remember her fried chicken and the rides that we took with my mother and Charlotte. She always picked the right spot to eat. We love you all and hope that you will find peace and comfort through our Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you all hope to see you soon. With love Diane, Tony and Anthony.

Pam,
My heart aches for you right now. Your mom will always be with you. What a lucky woman Charlotte was to have such 3 loving angels there to care for her and love her until she took her last breath.

You were always a wonderful motivator. You would provide love and support during tough times. You were always a very giving and loving person. We always had our fun times playing bingo and going to the boat or out to eat. You helped me get my first job. I can never give you enough thanks for all the help, support, love and care you provided me with through our times together. I will always love and remember you. I love you grandma.

My sincere condolences to the family of Charlotte F. Truschke- May you find comfort in your loving memories, beautiful pictures and in recalling the many talents of Mrs. Truschke. It was not the Creator's purpose that mankind suffer and die (Romans 5:12). God has promised that a time will come when no one will say "I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24). In the Bible we are promised a resurrection of dear family members and friends that we have lost (John 5:28, 29). I hope you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).
