Obituary of Gregory Specht

Gregory Robert Specht 1952 - 2015 'Stand and be a Man of Worth; Responsible and Virtuous, Courageous and Kind' Greg peacefully passed at home Sunday, May 31, 2015, held by his loving wife with family close by. Greg is survived by his wife Deborah and his son, Zephen Specht. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Steven Wagner, Douglas (Chrystal) Wagner, Jack Wagner, Michael Wagner; brother Michael Specht and sisters Susan Howard, Sharon Whalen and Sheila Carey. Mother-in-law Dorothy Wagner, nephew and nieces Caleb (Donna) Wagner, Chris and Keri Wagner, Matt and Kevin Wagner, Campbell and Piper Wagner. Predeceased by his mother and father, Dorothy and Robert Specht, father-in-law John Wagner and brother-in-law Clifford Wagner. Employed by the Village of Plainfield Building Department for Plan Review, Lead Building Inspector; previously owned Specht's Electric, Inc. Greg was a loving husband and father who enjoyed camping, canoeing, driving his Jeep and following the Blackhawks. Vietnam era Veteran, NECA, IBEW, SSBOA. Funeral Services for Gregory Robert Specht will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. As it was Gregory's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following his funeral services. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
