Honiotes Bros. was blessed by having the best sales reps calling on us. All the bread vendors were loyal and consistant in taking care of their bread space on the Honiotes shelves. But by far, Al Scheer topped them all. Al and Rainbow Bread were one and the same. Rainbow had the largest shelf space of all the bread compaines. Rain, sleet, heat, cold and snow - Al was always there. Zero degrees outside, 12 inches of snow, citizens were told to stock up in case they got snow-bound. The Rainbow shelves never ran empty - Al would be there 4-5 times a day checking on his product. Even when the store was selling can goods at 50% off when we were closing down - Al and Rainbow were there to make sure our customers got fresh bread. Al and family were also the best neighbors on Massachusett Ave. Love you Al. And thank you.
