I first met Josh through my long-time friend Frank who had himself recently befriended Josh. I met Frank, Josh, and one of their coworkers at a bar to play pool, and I wound up talking with Josh for most of the evening. He quickly discovered that, like him, I had a passion for music, and he asked me about my favorite bands and types of music. We talked about wacky time signatures and guitarists and classical music, and he asked if I was familiar with a dozen or more bands that I hadn't heard of.
When we were heading back to our cars at the end of the night, he called me over to his car, telling me he wanted to play a song that he thought I would enjoy. It was "Sacrament of Wilderness" by a band from Finland called Nightwish. It was a combination of metal, symphonic music, and opera. I'd never heard anything remotely like it. And I loved it. Josh turned me on to a tremendous amount of music that I love, and would likely have never heard if not for him.
Some of the most fun I have ever had was jamming with Frank and Josh. Josh was more expereienced than either of us, and provided guidance and loads of enthusiasm. We tried (and generally failed) to play tremendously complex songs, picked simple chord progressions and improvised, and made up some ridiculously silly stuff - and had a blast doing it.

Josh was and always will be a wonderful godfather for our son Josh (Mini Me). We could not have picked a more wonderful person to be in his life, and I know that you will continue to watch over the children you loved - Warren, Josh, and all the others. Thank you for the friendship and memories you leave us with, to help ease our sadness.
