I'm deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing. Last I saw him was at the 50 year class reunion of St. Pat's Grade School. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. God rest his soul.
Dan was the most gentle man I ever knew. He was a quiet man who took his time speaking with you and listened carefully. He never let the pressures of time or all of the busyness of this world interfere with what was really important. He connected with life, whether enjoying nature or beauty, or just appreciating a conversation with another human being. What a world this would be if there would be more men like this good and gentle man.
What a great contribution God gave our world, Mr. Dan Ryan. He was one of the nicest, one of the most humble people I have ever met. I,'ll never forget when he helped me with a science project as a young lad. I'm sure God has a special place in heaven for him...and maybe we will all get to see him there someday joyfully painting away with all the folks he loved. My heart goes out to the Ryan family. What a great honor it was to know him.
