Obituary of Daniel Ryan

Daniel George Ryan Age 68, of Bolingbrook, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Daniel retired from the State of Illinois after 36 years of service as a bridge tender at the Brandon Road Locks and Dam. He was an active member of Christ the Servant Catholic Church, Woodridge, where he was a member of the choir and the Arts and Education group. A talented artist, he enjoyed painting and music. Survived by his two brothers, Paul F. (Linda) Ryan of Washington and Raymond J. (Grace) Ryan of Plainfield; a sister-in-law, Karen Ryan of Joliet; his wife's mother, Frances Warnken of Arlington Heights; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by his wife, Pauline (nee Warnken) Ryan (October 10, 2015); his parents, James C. and Margaret (Costello) Ryan; and one brother, Robert J. Ryan. A Memorial Mass for Daniel G. Ryan will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Servant Catholic Church, 8700 Havens Drive, Woodridge, IL 60517. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. The urns of Daniel and his wife, Pauline, will be interred at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
