I had the pleasure of working with Tom at MCHS. He will be missed. Rest in peace Tom. But knowing Tom, he will be up there performing his magic tricks or showing off his watch collection.

Of course Tom Wilkinson was a great geometry teacher, but he was also a good friend. He introduced me to the finer points of classical music played on a GREAT hi-fi system. Tom loved his hi-fi, and he had about the best equipment available at the time (early 60's). He and Mary were living in an upstairs apartment in the county sheriff's house on Freemont Avenue in Morris in those days. I often wondered whether the sheriff liked good music as much as Tom did, because Tom liked to play his music LOUD!
I was a kid, but he still took me on a trip to Rockford one day to visit a little hi-fi shop that he liked. The owner was a friend of his. I think his name was Willie Schnule. In any case, we came home with a couple decent speakers and my first hi-fi amplifier, an H H Scott. And to save $$ he had me buy the amp as a kit which I soldered together in a few days.
In the years since, I have often run into Tom in Morris doing his magic tricks or chatting with friends. And Tom usually had the love of his life, Mary, by his side. Tom and Mary have brightened the lives of the people of Morris for decades now. He will truly be missed. And, Mary, you have my sincere sympathy on losing your best friend and partner of over 50 years. God bless you in this time of great sorrow.

I remember Mr. Wilkinson with great respect. I had him in 1986 and to this day I still do not let any students sit in my teacher chair until they come back after they've gotten their degree, just like Mr. Wilkinson always said!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of great memories of Mr. Wilkinson from geometry class to computer class to his magic shows. He had a big impact on my life! Over 30 years since graduation, and I still remember his words of wisdom from back in high school. RIP Mr. Wilkinson / Mr. Mistini.

Mr. Wilkinson made Geometry fun. Simple and to the point. Of course, how could you not love having a magician as a teacher? I loved his Woody Woodpecker profiles he'd add to your yearbook, if asked to sign. I know my mom, Margaret Bednarik, enjoyed having him as a fellow MCHS teacher, but also loved his beautiful wife. There can be no better legacy than to be a great teacher...no matter your profession. Tom Wilkinson was a great teacher. RIP, Mr. Wilkinson.

Mr Wilkinson was may Geometry and Trigonometry teacher at MCHS. Found memory of the "Red Sports Jacket" he would wear. On the days He wore the red jacket, we knew there was a test that day. First stop of each day would include a walk by his class room. There were times of course, that he would spring a test on us without wearing the jacket. Life lesson - it includes surprises also. Rest in Peace my friend. Steve

Mr. Wilkinson was an awesome teacher. I truly loved his Geometry class. I sat in the front row and I could count on him to do a magic trick at his desk. It was always very inconspicuous because nobody else in the class would see it but me. He was a great man and he will be greatly missed.

I am so happy that I was able to visit with Mr. Wilkinson during the lastt class of 1968reunion. His magic and wit were evident to me in his teaching and his Masonic activities. May God continue to comfort the family and friends in this time of loss. And NO , I never did appreciate the intricacies of Geometry! But I did have fun and learned a great deal.

My sincerest condolences on your families loss, sorry to hear of Toms passing. I remember "Mr. Mistini" from all of the special times I dined with my Grandmother at Drakes farm. He always made my siblings, cousins and I unique balloon creations and always endlessly entertained us with his magic tricks. Later on in my high school years at MCHS, he tried to perform magic on me to "steal" a Mickey Mouse watch from me, one I had purchased at WDW, one of the few he did not have, while he was a frequent substitute of ours. As an adult, attending the same church, I always enjoyed seeing he and his lovely wife attend church services together amongst our congregation. May you rest in peace and know how many lives you have touched. Blessings & prayers for comfort-Angela Todd (née Devine)
